Nowadays, with the rapid development of the times, more and more products are begin to develop in the direction of customization and diversification. Multi-brand launches multi-style, quick performance, dominated by small batches of personalized products, driven by the concept of customization to drive the market to run rapidly, and get more popularization to be used in the textile field. Therefore, under such circumstances, the hosiery industry operation mode of “small order, quick payment” was launched.

Then digital printing socks fully meet the print-on-demand, no need plate mold development anymore, just an image, it could be quickly performed into the socks.

Digital printing is directly spray-printed on semi-finished textiles. 360 seamless digital printing technology could print the image with perfect connection at seams. In addition, the socks inside is with almost non loose thread ends, and once stretch the socks with strength, no crack appears and underground white color could not be seen through as well.

Firstly, we need to fix the pattern design for the socks. And adjust the image according to customer’s requirement. In order to ensure the color of the socks would be same as the original image, we will use CMYK value as the standard.

Meanwhile, we need to be sure with the composition of the socks. Different material relates different inks. Disperse inks use for the composition of polyester, and reactive inks use for cotton, linen, silk and wool materials, while acid inks will use for the socks with nylon yarn.

The remarkable thing is, except polyester material, other material of socks needs to be done with pre-treatment before printing.

Before printing, we need to check the ink status and also the printing nozzle as well.

After all above self-checking is done, then we upload the well done image to the computer which connected with the 360 seamless digital printer, put on the blank socks on the roller, adjust the printing parameters, then start printing.

Print head starts working and the nozzle will spray inks on the surface of the socks. Once printing is completed, we take off the roller together with socks to the groove down to the printer and heat the socks to dry the ink.

Then we need to remove the socks from the roller, hanging into the steamer to get color fixation. After waiting for a while, the bright colorful digital printing socks comes out.

While this process is suitable for polyester socks only. While if with cotton/ silk/ linen etc. material of socks, then it needs more finishing process. custom printed socks.
